Application method of boron carbide in iron trough castable
During the communication with refractory customers, I learned that some customers would ask that boron carbide does not play a big role in iron trough castables. What is the reason? The reason is very simple. It may be because they use the no-baking type. The no-baking type is mixed with asphalt, so it does not work. The solution is to switch to a baking type.
Boron carbide is mainly used in refractory materials, only No. 325. Boron carbide is mainly used as an antioxidant in refractories, used in low-carbon magnesia-carbon bricks, castables for iron troughs, nozzles, sliding plates, stoppers, etc. Used in key parts of high temperature resistance and erosion resistance.
