Application of boron carbide in chemical raw materials
Boron carbide can be used as chemical raw materials to start additives for some metal-based surface materials; when producing boride powder by reduction-chemical method, boron carbide can be used as a boron source to produce boron halide, hydrogen boride, etc. The wider use of chemical raw materials is mainly used as a boronizing agent for steel or other alloys to boronize the surface of the steel to generate a thin layer of iron boride to enhance the strength and wear resistance of the material.
Leakage boron is a type of leakage. Through a certain process, the leakage layer and the base metal form an alloy, and the coating is not easy to fall off. The leaking boron layer of the leaking boron process has the characteristics of high hardness, high wear resistance, high thermal hardness, good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. The commonly used processes include paste boron infiltration method and solid powder penetrant infiltration. Boron method, gas infiltration boron method, and salt bath infiltration boron method. Among them, the solid powder infiltration boron method uses relatively simple equipment, is easy to operate, and has easy quality control. It is the most widely used infiltration boron method.
